In Memory of Maya Angelou

She will be missed.

I made this using Adobe Fireworks.

Pazzles Inspiration Pro 2010 - Aligning Two Circles

Hi all

This was a request in a Pazzles group on Facebook and I thought I would add it here just in case anyone else needs it.

When you want to align two circles inside each other (or any other shape).  Click on photo to enlarge.

Clayton County Georgia Crafters

Hey all

Do you live in the Clayton County Georgia area and want to meet other crafters?  Let me know by adding a comment below.

I would like to meet people who like to do all kinds of crafts.  I like making jewelry, sewing, painting, designing on my 'puter, scrapbooking, etc.

If you know of any crafting events in Clayton County, let us know that too.

Let's get a roll call.  :-)

Yahoo Groups - Aaaarrrggghhh

Maybe it's just me, but I can't stand the way Yahoo Groups is set up.  I seem to never be able to find the first part of a thread.  I feel like I'm in some kind of a maze or walking around blindly.  Trying to find my way through a thread from start to finish is putting me in a new mental health category - "Yahoo! Crazy Nuts".  It seems as though Yahoo Groups can be set up much better.  I'm sorry Yahoo!, but your groups' set up is a mess!  Please revamp it to make it easier to navigate.

Mother's Day Storage Box and Greeting Card

These are really good storage boxes.  I have one that I've had for a few years and it has traveled with and without me and it's still in good shape.  I bought mine from Burlington Coat Factory.  This one my daughter and I found at Tuesday Morning.  The designer of the box is Avery Tillmon (you should look up more of this person's work - it's really nice).

The box didn't include the ribbon and faux chain - I added that myself.

The greeting card I made by taking a photo of the top of the box and added my own bling.  I hand wrote the Happy Mother's Day with a black sharpie.  I rounded the corners too.

Wooden Phone Booth at Hobby Lobby

Look what I saw at Hobby Lobby today!  I was in shock!  It's a cabinet.  It was on sale for $149.  Good thing I didn't have the money or it would have come home with me.  :-)

Printable dolls for coloring (JPG Only)

I added 22 dolls to this zip file in my Etsy shop.  You can use them like coloring pages.  Each doll is on a different page.  The lines are thin for a seamless coloring experience and not thick like coloring book images.  If you want the lines thick, use a thin black marker to trace the outlines.  I use Copic markers to color my images offline. The less black I have as an outline the better, but I do know that quite a few people like the thicker lines.

If you download and color these, let me know what you think.

Have fun.

1960s Afro Girl Earrings

As promised, I am starting to make things using my printable paper dolls.  I wanted a pair of earrings to go with a purple shirt I have, but I have no earrings with purple in it.  So....I decided to make me a pair of earrings with multi-colors in it.

Here's the doll I used.  I took her earrings off of the actual cut because they were too thin.  Below are a couple of photos with the jump ring hoops.

The backing is .022 chipboard.  I painted the chipboard, front and back, black.  I sealed the print with glossy mod podge.  I then sealed all of it with glossy accents.

Vintage Popcorn Popper Printable, Digital Stamp, Paper Piecing (SVG, MTC, WPC)

I was just looking through my "inspiration" files and stumbled across this vintage popcorn popper again.  I started working on it a while back, but didn't finish it for some reason. I love vintage looking popcorn poppers!  I’ve been thinking of making a 3D popcorn popper but I haven’t quite got around to it yet.  One of these days I'll have one in my kitchen, even if I never pop a kernel in it.  :-)

For now I’ve created a printable, digital stamp, and a paper piecing in one file.  You can resize the files and change the colors.  The logo/watermark will not be on your file.

Find it on Etsy.
