New Vinyl Decals

Hello all

I have some new black vinyl decals in my Etsy shop!

Stop on by my shop and see many other new designs.  The ones you see here will be mailed out instead of being a digital download (if you want a SVG, MTC, or WPC file, let me know).

**If you see these designs being sold anywhere else, they are being sold without my permission**

Make Your Own Envelope - Not a tutorial

Not really a tutorial...

If you know how to make your own envelopes you don't have to stick with standard greeting card sizes.  Basically, you don't have to be stuck in a box.

When I was making greeting cards I would make my cards in any shape I wanted because I made my own envelopes.  When I mailed out some of these cards I had to put them in a bubble wrapped envelope, but I rarely mailed the cards that I got too embellishment-happy with.

If you don't know how to make an envelope, find one and carefully take it apart. Measure the width and height of every part that will be folded above a fold line.

If you are making large envelopes for a large card, you may have to add another piece of paper to join the two side by side. I would do that before placing the card on top of the paper to measure all parts, then you can cut to shape.

The fold lines are in red in my image.  The whole red rectangle is where I place my card so I can cut accordingly for a good fold.  Leave a little room for the card to have some breathing space.  Maybe about 1/8" or 1/4".

I make envelopes using all kinds of paper too, not just standard cardstock.  I've used wrapping paper, vellum, chipboard, craft sheets, brown paper bags, old gift bags, etc.

If you haven't made your own envelope, you should try it. It will save you some money and your greeting card sizes won't have to be so limited.

Regal Font Letter S - Revised

I like the look of the Regal font, but it's not a good cut file.  On my computer I must clean up each letter before I can cut it.

Here is a Regal font S.  I haven't test cut it, so I'm not sure how good it is. If you want to try it out, feel free.  Also feel free to let me know if it didn't cut out well for you.

Click on the image for the download.  Included files are SVG, MTC, and WPC.

Here's the one I made using some flourishes from the Pazzles Pro2010 software.  Click on the image to get the zip file (SVG, MTC, WPC).  I didn't test cut, so let me know if it cuts ok or not.

Have fun!  :-)

African American with Revolver - Library of Congress

This photo doesn't state much for a description, but I do remember the words African American with Revolver.

I lightened this photo up and did a bit of restoration.  The pants don't look so good, but it's ok.  You may be able to click on the photo for a larger view.

Mailing out Heat Transfer Vinyl Decals

For a limited time I will be mailing out medium sized iron-on vinyl decals within the USA.  I won't be mailing out any vinyl decals that are bigger than about 9"-11" (width and/or height) and I'm only mailing out black and red colors for starters (single color per design).

If you see something in my Etsy shop, just know that I haven't added the shipping to it yet.  The shipping won't be expensive because the decals are lightweight.

If you want something, let me know by contacting me at Etsy and I will make a custom Etsy listing for you with the shipping included.

FYI Vinyl Decal (SVG, MTC, WPC)

Here's a FYI heat transfer vinyl decal design that can be scaled to fit anything from a mug to a wall.  This design has multiple pieces so you can cut out different colors for your design.

This design, the one with color, is just an idea of how the vinyl design could look with colors.

If you like hotfix rhinestones and rhinestuds like I do, imagine those incorporated in this design too.  :-)

Here the Etsy location.
